Crown Hair can hardly believe that 2017 is days away from coming to an end. It’s been a big year for the salon, and we couldn’t have done it without our terrific team, and our amazing clients.
Without further ado, here are a few of our favourite moments from 2017!
Whittemore In The House Crown Hair were thrilled to host Victoria Hunter of Whittemore House at the salon for an intimate masterclass and look and learn session for their game changing hair paint.
Later in 2017, Director of Colour Kathy gilbert visited the Whittemore House salon in New York City, working alongside Victoria and Larry Raspanti (Whittemore House co-founder), and is now a Whittemore House Ambassador.
Paris Calling Crown Hair thoroughly enjoyed attending the Christophe Robin Brunch hosted at Edwards and Co in October, as Christophe himself took us through his new Aloe Vera range, as well as his greatest hits (Lemon Cleaning Masque, we’ll never stop loving you). Crown Hair were fortunate enough to have Christophe and his Global Education Ambassador Maxime drop into the salon for some practical lessons in getting the most out of his beloved products, including the Rose Volumising Paste and Lavender Oil, using Sophie and Diana respectively as models. An excellent day enjoyed by the whole team!
Crown Collaborations Director of Colour Kathy gilbert collaborated with stylist Michele McQuillan on colour for a striking RUSSH magazine story and cover story. The Crown Hair team was also enlisted by Michele (Hair Director of the show) to assist with hair for the Aje Awelye 2017/2018 runway show. Read more about the show right here.
Colour Me Crazy… Crown Hair’s Senior Stylist Sophie Mosca has been at the helm of some of our favourite colours of 2017. Sophie’s love for hand painting, and ability to create a stunning cornucopia of blonde’s, wild pops of colour and everything in between have resulted in some of our top picks for the year. A Farewell, A Welcome and A Qualification As Crown Hair bid farewell to Paolo Rossi, we welcomed our Senior Colourist Dominik Rafa and Principal Stylist Bond Forbes-Rorie to the Crown Hair team. In February this year, our Junior Stylist Diana Jalo qualified as a hairdresser. From then on, it’s been full speed ahead for Diana. She is our in house Keratin Queen, and has created some of our favourite haircuts of the year. Taking particular interest in texture, Diana is a stylist to watch!
