Crown Loves: Aje

Crown Hair is proud to have worked with Sydney label Aje on their Awelye 17/18′ Resort Show. Working alongside the show’s Hair Director Michele McQuillan for Morrocanoil, Crown was enlisted to cut and colour model’s hair ahead of the show.

Age blog photoEdwina Robinson and Adrian Norris – the duo behind Aje, collaborated with Pwerle Gallery for their most recent collection, inspired by the art of Indigenous artist Minnie Pwerle.  The collection is a celebration of Indigenous Australian art, and the show was held Monday, 1st of May at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. As part of the campaign, the Aje team traveled to the Northern Territory to shoot a short film for the campaign, and were able to appreciate the land that gave Minne Pwerle her inspiration.

SarchaCrown Hair’s Principal Stylist Benoit cut model Sarsha Chisholm‘s hair ahead of the show, before Michelle was able to work her magic on the show. Model Georgie Perkins was given a clarifying treatment ahead of the show to bring her blonde hair to its full glory. Crown’s Director of Colour Kathy gilbert says Olaplex was also a must when it came to giving Georgie’s hair a lift. Benoit finished Georgie’s hair with a trim and his signature blow-dry. Crown’s Director of Styling Mark Jones gave model Lauren Arrow a heavy blunt fringe and Senior Stylist Sophie Mosca transformed model Ilana Davies colour to a rich brown.
